Week 50

Things that happened this week:

1. Meal calendar is full

2. Put up dry wall in a members house!

3. Fixed bishop's lawn mower by replacing the belt on it!

4. Washed firetrucks as always

5. Got free food after some service

6. Exchange in Clovis and Lubbock this week. 

7. Bahama bucks in Lubbock!

8. Met a potential investigator that grew up right outside of Raleigh and knows where Kinston is!

9. Made like 5 ties this week!! Total was like 10 bucks! And they're sweet!! 

study-

3 Nephi 11- read the chapter and look at how Christ establishes expectations (how to begin teaching) and what it does. Notice the details and try to imagine it as if you were there! :D

Week 49

Things that happened:

1. Got new mattresses.

2. Sonic's happy hour saves me! I love a 1/2 priced frozen lemonade! :D 

3. Last zone conference with President Heap. Gonna miss them!

4. Taught a bomb Restoration lesson on exchanges with Elder McMaster!!

5. Found in rich neighborhood with Elder McMaster :D

6. Taught great restoration/plan of salvation lesson at dinner to an investigator. :D

7. Investigator told us after a prayer that she wants to be baptized!!

8. Great talks in sacrament meeting!!

9. Balled with a 12 yr old in Muleshoe and got his info. He was amazed at prophets nowadays. 

Spiritual study- 

"The mission is the Garden of Eden!"

In the mission you have it all:

135 dollars a month

Car that you don't have to pay for

Free insurance

Free gas

A place to stay

Free supplies

Members take care of you

Free ac

New mattresses

Free name tags

Free phone

etc...

In short, the mission is like the Garden of Eden. We have all we need! God's taking care of us. Eventually, we will all have to leave and go out into the lone and dreary wilderness (the world)!

I'm so glad i have this time to serve! It has helped me to grow a ton and I love it! So glad that I am able to be here in the middle of nowhere to help my brothers and sisters.

Week 48

Things that happened this week: 

1. Bought some sweet knife!!!

2. Taught the other Elders here how to make ties!!!

3. Exchanges with Clovis elders

4. Taught bomb lesson on Sacrament and another on Mark 9.

5. Baled hay at the zoo in Clovis. I got called the hardest working white boy on the ground by 2 guys lol.

6. Got sonic freeze during happy hour when it felt like 100 outside!

7. Organized a warehouse using a forklift :D

8. Went to Muleshoe, Texas. yes...I cover Texas and NM!

9. Had dinner at Ward Mission Leader's house and had milk fresh from the cow.

Week 47

A few things that happened this week:

1. One of the young men rode my bike and I had to take it to the shop to get it fixed.... lol. Note to self- don't let R. ride your bike!

2. Rode bike through 2.5 feet of water.....Portales has horrible drainage systems.... then found 2 kids after that! We were in gym shorts and tshirts. lol

3. Went to dinner with an investigator... ended up paying for my food... wasn't expecting that!

4. Taught a bomb lesson to R. Related her searching throughout her life to Joseph Smith and it has totally got her hooked. When I said First Vision to her, we all felt the Spirit super strong.

5. Made B.A. cry in a lesson. He's the huge guy in a wheel chair that flips Elder Field off. He cried because he is struggling to overcome chewing tobacco. So we are gonna help him.

6. Pulled huge bush out of Bishop's yard with my hands! lol.(It came in several pieces of course....) but I pulled it out mainly by hand. Great workout!

7. Got tour of fire station after washing trucks again. 

8. Juggled and did thank you letters skit in the talent show.

9. Bore testimony in Sacrament. 

Assignment- Read D&C 59 and look for how it applies to us and sin/repentance. Focus on the first few verses and also the 16-20 :D
